Determining the MyFRITZ! address to directly access FRITZ!Repeater and home network from the internet

When any FRITZ!Repeater used as a router first logs into your MyFRITZ! account, it is assigned a random, unique address ending with .myfritz.net. The FRITZ!Repeater is always accessible over the internet at this MyFRITZ! address, even if its public IP address changes regularly.

The MyFRITZ! address is required to redirect you easily and reliably to the MyFRITZ! home page of your FRITZ!Repeater after you have logged in to myfritz.net.

You can also use the MyFRITZ! address to access your FRITZ!Repeater directly, for example by using a bookmark in your browser. In addition, you can use the MyFRITZ! address to establish VPN connections to your FRITZ!Repeater or to access server services and network devices in your home network for which you configured port sharing in the FRITZ!Repeater.

Depending on whether you want to find out the MyFRITZ! address for VPN connections and other applications, or in order to access the FRITZ!Repeater user interface via HTTPS, follow the instructions in the relevant section.

Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Repeater.

1 Determining the MyFRITZ! address for HTTPS access

To determine the MyFRITZ! address for HTTPS access to the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater, proceed as follows:

  1. Click "Internet" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  2. Click "MyFRITZ! Account" in the "Internet" menu.
  3. Make note of the complete address that is displayed in the field "MyFRITZ! internet access".

2 Determining the MyFRITZ! address for VPN, etc.

To determine the MyFRITZ! address for a VPN connection to the FRITZ!Repeater or access to server services or network devices in the home network, proceed as follows:

  1. Click "Internet" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Repeater.
  2. Click "MyFRITZ! Account" in the "Internet" menu.
  3. Make note of the complete address that is displayed in the field "Your MyFRITZ! address".
