SMB versions supported by the FRITZ!Box

With the latest FRITZ!OS, the FRITZ!Box supports versions 1, 2, and 3 of the network protocol SMB. SMB 1 is disabled in the factory settings of the FRITZ!Box for security reasons. If you still use devices or applications that only support SMB 1, you can enable the protocol in the FRITZ!Box:

  1. Click "Home Network" in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click "USB / Storage" in the "Home Network" menu.
  3. Click on the "Home Network Sharing" tab.
  4. Enable the option "Support for SMBv1".
  5. Click "Apply" to save the settings.
