Installing the latest FRITZ!Fon software

We provide free updates for the FRITZ!Fon on a regular basis that add new functions to the phone. You can easily install the latest software using the FRITZ!Fon menu.

1 Preparations

The software version indicated by your phone depends on the version of FRITZ!OS installed on the FRITZ!Box. Therefore, install the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box and register the phone with the FRITZ!Box.

Installing the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Box

  1. Install the latest FRITZ!OS on the FRITZ!Box.

Registering FRITZ!Fon

  1. Register the phone with the FRITZ!Box.

2 Installing the latest software

  1. Press the 'Menu' key on the phone.
  2. Scroll to 'Settings' and press 'OK'.
  3. "Software update" or "Software version" > "OK"
    • The phone checks for a new version.
  4. If a new version is found, press "OK".
    • Now the new software is transmitted to the phone. The update is complete after the phone has restarted.
